Environmental Policy

Basic Principle

At Suzuyo Co., Ltd., all employees recognize that "coexistence with the global environment" is an important element in accordance with the spirit of "Tomoiki (Symbiosis)", which is the backbone of our management. Our goal is to contribute to solving the global environmental issues facing humankind through our business activities in logistics.

Basic Policy

We will voluntarily and actively promote the following initiatives to solve global environmental issues.

  • Comply with the environmental laws and regulations of each country and region.
  • Contribute to the formation of a recycling-oriented society by working to reduce, sort, reuse, and recycle waste.
  • Contribute to the prevention of global warming by reducing carbon dioxide emissions, working on energy conservation, energy creation, and transportation efficiency.
  • Contribute to the preservation of the natural environment by working to protect natural resources and restore nature and land.

These efforts will be continuously improved by sharing information and stimulating each other.
We will disseminate this environmental policy to all employees of Suzuyo Co., Ltd. and disclose it widely.

Human Right Policy

In the beginning

At Suzuyo Co., Ltd., we have herewith established a human rights policy in order to always fairly respect the human rights of all stakeholders in a wide range of business fields, both in Japan and overseas, in the spirit of our internal policy "Tomoiki (Symbiosis)" which underpins the backbone of our management, and to promote initiatives to respect human rights.

Scope of application

This policy applies to all officers and employees of Suzuyo Co., Ltd. In addition, we request that the subcontractors of Suzuyo Co., Ltd. support this policy and strive to respect human rights.

Basic concept

We take United Nations' "Guiding Principles of Business and Human Rights" as the framework of our conducts, and comply with the laws and orders of the countries in which we conduct businesses.

Commitment to respect Human Rights

  • We respect human rights and individuality of the people working at Suzuyo & Co., Ltd., and eliminate discrimination and bullying at the work places.
  • We will not engage in child labor, forced labor, or unfair low-wage labor.
  • We respect freedom of association and protection of the right to organize. 
  • We provide a safe, secure and healthy work environment.

Identifying and dealing with respect for human rights

  • We will endeavor to understand any negative impacts on human rights associated with our business activities, and strive to avoid or mitigate them.
  • If we are found to have caused or contributed to an adverse human rights impact, we will seek to redress through appropriate procedures. 
  • We will provide appropriate education and training so that this policy is firmly established in each employee of Suzuyo Co., Ltd.

In the course of our basic policy initiatives, we will utilize external expertise and earnestly engage in dialogue and consultation with stakeholders who may be affected by our business.

Procurement Policy

We at Suzuyo Co., Ltd. are committed to fulfilling our social responsibilities together with cooperating companies and affiliated companies, as a partner that supports our customers' supply chains from the aspect of logistics, in accordance with the spirit of "Tomoiki (Symbiosis)", which is the backbone of our business.
Based on the policy shown below, we will establish appropriate relationships with cooperating companies and affiliated companies and promote fair and sound procurement activities.

Compliance with laws and social norms

We will comply with laws, social norms, and company rules when working with cooperating companies and affiliated companies. 

Fair and equitable trade

When selecting cooperating companies and affiliated companies, we will provide fair business opportunities, make fair selections, and refrain from hiring easily.

Consideration for human rights, the environment, labor practices, and the working environment

Together with cooperating companies and affiliated companies, we will work to promote understanding and permeation of respect for human rights, coexistence with the global environment, ensuring safety and health, and improving the workplace environment, and will promote efforts to give appropriate consideration to these practices.

We aim for mutual prosperity and survival by building equal, fair, transparent, and long-term relationships of trust with our cooperating companies and affiliated companies.

Risk Management Policy

We Suzuyo & Co., Ltd., as total logistic enterprise, in the spirit of "Tomoiki (Symbiosis )" which underpins our management, endeavor to cope with risk management activities, in order to achieve social mission, based on the following policies.

Basic Purpose

  • To secure the safety of customers, local communities, officers, employees and their family members.
  • To maintain a reliable relationship with stakeholders.
  • To preserve management resources and business continuity.

Course of Action

  • We make the security of human safety as the top priority.
  • We surface and evaluate the risks which might injure or ruin profit of stakeholders, and manage as a whole company.
  • We endeavor to prevent occurrence of risks. We prevent recurrence of the risks which have occurred or have been solved.
  • In the event of an emergency and/or disastrous issues, we will immediately take responsible measures and endeavor to secure the safety of management resources and to continue businesses.
