Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology

Aiming for further development of the region

In Shizuoka Prefecture, while various industries have been developed, and various advanced technologies have been accumulated, the placement of higher education and research institutes in science and technology hasn’t been sufficient.

While there is a strong demand for the enhancement and expansion of university education and research systems in each sector, in 1991, the first scientific university in Shizuoka Prefecture, opened known as the “Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology” in Fukuroi city.

Verkehr Shimizu Port Terminal Museum

In order to convey the old days and the present of Shimizu Port

“Verkehr” means “traffic” in German.
The museum puts the spotlight on ports where people and oceans connect with each other and preserves and exhibits a number of materials about the history of Shimizu Port, where Suzuyo Group Originated from. We have supported the museum since 1977.

Welfare facility “Shishihara-so”

To use welfare service

In 1975, the 7th Yohei Suzuki established the “Tamagashikai” a social welfare corporation to aid the local community of intellectual disabilities and handicapped. Later in 1976, Tamagashikai opened the “Shishihara-so” facility to expand and assist these groups who are in need.
This voluntary support further expanded and opened the “Misuzu” and “Karin” facility for employment/career guidance, “Daiichi Daini Kashiwa Ryo” for group home shelter, and “Suzuran” for consultation support. Tamagashikai and Suzuyo Group continue to actively deliver the humanitarian support to those who are in need.

Local contribution activity

In the spirit of “TOMOIKI” such as fundraising activities, and volunteer activities, we are thinking about what we can do as a member of the local community and connecting it to contribution activities.
Today, we place importance on the “gratitude” of the areas that support our business activities, and every employee participates in volunteer activities.
